My almost 25lb Boston Terrier fits perfectly in here. Very easy to set up, use and fold up for storage. Great maneuverability - front wheels go all directions and great on all terrain. I live in the desert so most offroad terrain is pretty rocky and uneven (we seem to do this often). My dog is mostly blind in the one eye she has (will be having surgery soon - another reason we got this) so this has really helped her be able to enjoy still being with us and feel safe. When we first got it, we set it up inside the house and kept it out for a day as she and our other dog got used to it being around it. Then slowly eased her into sitting in it while giving her treats then pushing her around the house in it. The first time out we went to a community parade where I had to walk miles with her on a warm day. She sat comfortably in it and loved being able to be safe around large crowds through all the loudness of the parade, plus a great place for her to lay down. Also I could put her in the stroller when we had to quickly cross busy roads - she's a bit slower plus being blind makes her a bit wary. Also helped to carry water bottles and my stuff. I also brought her to a pet expo with busy crowds including all types of pets and she felt safe away from the bigger animals and big human feet. The ventilation is also good which is very important in the warm AZ climate. The screen lock was simple once I figured out how to work it (hint - there is also a clasp on th e bottom of the seat that should lock in place) :-). Things I wish this had: - more seat padding, though using my own washable padding (a towel or pillow) has its positives - more robust wheels, they are only plastic afterall (I know, I could pay more...) - a clip on the inside to hook a short leash to: often I would leave her in there with the cover open but was always worried she would get up and jump out, I'm trying to figure a way to add one to it on my own - carrying case/cover for storage or at least a strap: for when you want to carry the stroller somewhere and not have it open up on you and/or more secure fold lock - a hook to hook my dog to the stroller when she's walking outside of the stroller but I still have to push the thing - more accessories (are there?) - I would love to be able to switch out the wheels, add a water bowl that attaches to it on the outside so we can stop for water breaks, decorations, etc. I love this thing and don't feel I need to explain any more when people wonder how lazy my dog is that I need a stroller (which I did the first time I took her in it and people would stare and giggle)! My husband rolled his eyes when I bought it but guess who fell in love with it and ended up taking over pushing responsibility?! We are all happier now that we don't have to leave her home just because we're worried about her safety or that she can't keep up, and we have more time out of the house together as a family.
UPDATE 10/5/19: The cart gave out after 2 years of use. The bottom of the carriage folded in the middle and made it uncomfortable for the pup to lay or sit on top of. The seams have also frayed. We only used the item on weekends, and only in 9 months out of the year. The pupâs weight has st ayed constant at 13 lbs. so itâs not from added weight. The weight limit of 35 lbs that manufacturers stated is really pushing it. Gave the item away to the owner of a small cat who can use it for short outdoor trips. I guess two years is the natural lifespan of this item. We have since upgraded to a sturdier stroller, but a good starter stroller. =============== It's a pretty solid stroller for use of smaller dogs for city transport over concrete streets. I have a 13 year old Pomeranian-Pekingese mix, 13 lbs and he fits comfortably in this item. He has room to stand, move around, lay down with a good amount of room to spare. Item states it's good for up to 35 lb load, but I wouldn't go beyond 20 lbs for this for safety. I decided to try out for a couple of days before posting a review. First of all, I was disappointed that this item does not fold flat. It's about 12 inches high fully folded (12 inch ruler placed next to it for reference). A bummer since I wanted to bring it on public transport and on future plane flights. If you are going to be keeping this stroller unfolded most of the time, this wouldn't be such a big issue. But for an apartment dweller like me, this was definitely a point against the item. It is also pretty unwieldy to fold up! I wanted a one hand fold stroller really, since I would be doing the folding solo with my dog and would have to hoist this up three floors! On the other hand, it works well on city streets and offers a lot of good things for a pup like mine who, while very healthy, has older joints that prevent them from walking longer distances like before. My pup is used to being carried in a bag, but it jostles him despite my best efforts and I know he'd prefer having some space to spread his little legs. He jumped into this stroller as soon as I got it together - a good sign - and whined when I put it away! He already knows that it's his and he does like it a lot. The cobalt blue color is really nice looking, and quite discreet since folks that I pass on the street don't even know that there is a pup instead of a baby in my stroller most of the time. When the canopy is up and the mesh screen secured, it's even less noticeable (my pup being contentedly silent in there helps a lot too). We've been able to enter some establishments that doesn't allow pets incognito, wink wink. So far we've enjoyed trips to Petco, Staples, the bank, Star bucks and a quick visit to the restaurant. We also like the mesh screen that offers puppies a panoramic, unobstructed view of his environment. The non-zip top is very helpful in opening and closing the canopy lickety-split (my pup personally prefers the canopy retracted, offering the full top down view). We like the cupholders (see picture) too, such a helpful feature. The bottom push, while helpful in keeping the dog's doodads, does get in the way of the bottom wheels when it's being folded up and needs to be maneuvered a little to get the wheels to lay flat and not get twisted, which might shorten the lifespan of this stroller in the long run. Also, when I did place some of my groceries in that pouch when I did a market run with my pup, it made the stroller much harder to steer and maneuver. Which again proves my point that I wouldn't put more than 20 lbs on this stroller, pup included. The wheels are a bit dinky, but should serve you and your pup well if you're on flat terrain. No off-roading for this item please. Best of luck!

I read so many reviews on this and other dog strollers but most ppl did not put their height, the dogs weight, they complained of a smell, parts missing, hard to put together, hard to open and close, cheap material and parts etc. So I am going to try and cover it all. I am 5.3, my husband is 6 ft and the height of the stroller feels great to both of us. Zack ( my baby ) is a 6 Lbs 10" tall and 9" long long haired chihuahua he fits perfect in it, with room for toys, the size being bigger doesn't seem to bother him at all. He can stand up, sit down, lay down and turn around. I thought about a stroller and did research for over a month. I finally decided on the Pet Gear Happy Trails No Zip in Emerald. The no zip was the biggest plus and works great... My husband had it together using no tools in about 5 mins. Everything was included no parts missing. Both of us opened and closed it several times with one hand maybe two with very little effort. There is a slight odor that's not offensive that I'm sure will be gone within a day or so. The stroller seems to be very sturdy the material is thick and not cheap by any means. The emerald color is very pretty more of a light hunter green I think. I hope I've covered most questions and I can't believe all the negatives about this stroller I think it's a top quality made easy to handle dog stroller. I pushed Zack around for about 10 mins and he didn't want to get out, he didn't claw at the screen or try to jump out so he's sitting here watching me write the review in his new doggy stroller. I did not buy the pad that's $ 20 + because he has a lot of blankets and they worked great. I would buy the stroller again and I will recommend it to everyone. Great job Pet Gear and Amazon it arrive d as scheduled as always from Amazon. I will do a follow up after our trip.. Follow up OK we took the stroller out last night and today. We love it, no problem folding, handling is great even with one hand. Only issue I see is when opening you do need to be cautious because it catches on something and after awhile it could rip the material. Two ppl stopped me today and asked where I got it, I said it's a Pet Gear I got it from Amazon. Follow up continued The smell was gone after 24 hrs. We have now taken it in gravel and grass of course it wasn't as easy to push as it was on the road or side walk but it did fine. The longer I have this stroller the more I love it, I can't believe I waited 8 months to buy one and Pet Gear is the only one I'd own and buying it from Amazon was so easy and I received it in 2 days Free Shipping with Prime. Follow Up #2 We are continuing to love the pet gear stroller. Zack ( Chi ) loves it so much we keep it up in a corner. When I'm cleaning he likes to get in it and come with me room to room July 7,2016 This is a follow up to my other reviews. I purchased this stroller in May of 2015 it is still rolling along and in perfect condition. Since the 14 months since the purchase it's been in grass sidewalks up and down hills everywhere. I LOVE this stroller so does Zack. It will last several more years I'm sure and when it fails I'll purchase another just like it. Zack my 6lb7oz chi loves it sometimes he'll go over and put his paws on it I'll put him in and he'll lay down and go to sleep. I just can't say enough good things about this Pet Gear Stroller.

So, I had 2 cats that are both about 14 lbs, and it was a tight fit with them. They weren't super thrilled about being pushed around the neighborhood but they didn't fuss either. Then a stray kitten showed up at my house and I took her in. She loves this stroller. She sits in it while I am working around the house, and just relaxes in it otherwise. I love the fact that I can keep her in it and just fold it down and slide it into my car, get to the destination and pop it back up. When you consider that a regular at carrier costs almost as much as this, it doesn't make sense not to get it! I have gotten lots of looks since people expect there to be a dog in it, but then see it's a cat, but they love it.

UPDATE 10/5/19: The cart gave out after 2 years of use. The bottom of the carriage folded in the middle and made it uncomfortable for the pup to lay or sit on top of. The seams have also frayed. We only used the item on weekends, and only in 9 months out of the year. The pupâs weight has stayed constant at 13 lbs. so itâs not from added weight.

Let me start by saying the concept is 6-stars (out of 5). Our indoor cat just LOVES it! Now she just hangs around and sleeps in it...as to say "when are we going out for a walk again?" Quite adorable. However, we had to order the same stroller three times and each time there was something wrong. First time was a pink one that got returned because it was not properly sewn and had a hole at the base. (See photo). Second stroller was a "used-like new" condition (sold by Amazon). This didn't have a rip, but one of the front wheels had a moderate wobble (as some have mentioned). Third stroller was brand new...and was worse. Both wheels wobbled...one was quite severe. It also was missing the inside base liner. And to top it off, the stitching at the top (where you could plainly see during walks) was wildly uneven....very poor quality manufacturing. We ended up keeping the second (least defective) stroller. Again the cat LOVES it. But I'm hoping that giving it a 1-star rating will push them for a better quality product. So if you buy, just be ready to return and re-purchase again and again...until you get something that works for you. Tip: The inside liner is flimsy...imagine standing in a tent with a tarp floor on a muddy/swampy ground. Okay, that might be an exaggeration, but I hope you get the point. We ended cutting out some foam core board--using the liner as a trace--and putting that in as the base underneath the liner. Add a small blanket/towel/mat and it's perfect. Best!

I never thought I'd be the person with a dog stroller... That being said: I have a 20-22lb (depending on her greediness) 3 year old Boston Terrier with bilateral luxating patellas (floating knees) that make for a bow legged dog, who limps after a few minutes of walking, or her running around at home. She just had (1) of (2) knee surgeries to fix her knees. Her 1st knee is recovering well but she isn't allowed to run, go for decent walks, jump, stand on her back legs etc., and total time is about 3 months healing per knee. I bought this as a means to get her out of the house, and help her release some of the boredom she has from being inside majority of the day. She LOVES it. She's tired after a good mile walk in it, smelling all the scents and seeing the sights. SPECS & SUCH: PROS: 20-22lbs she fits perfectly inside with room to move about comfortably. She lies down inside, in a straight down position (her normal), not enough room for her to stretch out and lay fully extended on her sides. We bought the bolster pad, and aside from the nice soft texture, there IS NOT a lot of padding BUT the fabric is nice enough to be comfy without making her hot. It also borders the inside of the stroller as well making it cozier. We live in Las Vegas, desert heat even in the early am. That being said we added her fleece blanket under the pad to help with cushion. It is NOT a jogger stroller. The wheels are held on inside with a pin, and covered with a hubcap. BUT it works PERFECT for our walks. We do 1-2 miles a day. It handles street and sidewalks well. If you start a run on it, the wheels will start jittering. Wheels are a sturdy enough plastic. The mesh netting front and back are large enough for her to have a good view in front and get cooling air from both sides. The under carriage/basket holds our items nicely. Sturdy board covered in black fabric. CONS: As I stated the wheels are a bit jittery if you start a jog, but again it's advertised as NOT being a jogging stroller. On a normal walk, if you're anal like me you notice a bit of a wheel wobble but not enough to make the ride for pup or owner unenjoyable. More aesthetic than anything. The harness tether inside, if given a sturdy enough, deliberate tug seems like it would rip. We have it clipped to our dog harness but also have a small leash clipped to the same harness and wrapped onto our stroller handle just in case she gets nuts. The cup holder is 100% shallow as stated in other reviews. Could hold a small cup of coffee but don't recommend anything larger than that, that would topple easily. Good for holding keys or phone lying flat. But you also have the large under carriage to hold other items. Overall a GREAT buy for the price! Would definitely buy it again!

The quality of the ride on anything but carpet was horrible! The stroller constantly shook the first time I went for a walk around the block and I live in a brand new neighborhood with smooth roads/walkways. I'm returning! But if you're only going to use this for indoors you may be ok. Here are my thoughts if you do wish to purchase... Pros: Size is good, plenty of room for my 7lb Maltese to lay down & turn around. Easy to see her through the net windows while strolling & vise versa. Quick assembly - only need to put together the wheels & snap on the cup holder. The height of the stroller is comfortable -for reference, I'm 5'7". Cons: Wheels are cheap plastic making for a very shaky outdoor ride. There is no padding for the dog to lay on. The color is a lot darker than pictured - I was expecting a teal & it is very much a forest green. Not the easiest to collapse.

I had purchased this stroller for our cat. My daughters had borrowed the neighbors stroller and our cat loved it so we decided to get one. Our cat loves it! The kids take him for walks in the neighborhood, but I take him out to the garage in it so he can hang out with me and watch the world out the garage door while I keep busy. I have read other reviews about the wheels having issues, but not with ours. The wheels on our stroller are just as they should be, they go round and around. BUT, our 16 pound cat is only half the 30-35 pound weight limit. The seam at the lower side, where it is stitched to the bottom has given way and torn creating a large opening. I am VERY disappointed that a stroller which is rated for double my cat's weight has torn a seam so quickly after purchasing. I researched all the strollers offered on Amazon and picked this one, but I should have kept shopping. I hate finding out "you get what you pay" for, as this was not a cheap item at $75.99. As far as it compares to others, it was on the lower side but still it should not fail in a couple months. I have seen where other customers have been offered resolution to a faulty item, I would appreciate this opportunity as well. If Customer Service is as they say on their web site, my rating and review will reflect it. Thank you for you concern and an almost awesome product. FYI - I did find a small wooden brace that I pushed through across under the bed floor. This is zip tied to the black metal frame to help hold the weight of my cat. I would do this immediately with a replacement, it will help greatly. Thank you.

I looked at many different kinds of pet strollers before deciding on this one. What won me over to this particular one was that it had an unobstructed panoramic view at eye-level for the animal (almost all others had an opaque strip of fabric around the eye-level area. Other than that, everything pieces together very easily And the snaplock (Which I had my initial doubts about) closes securely. I would make this purchase all over again, and highly recommend it to others looking for the same.

My fourth Pet Gear stroller. The others had zippers. The first one was perfect and we wore it out. The second one shredded around the zipper within a month and Pet Gear replaced it. The third one also shredded around the zipper. I finally bought this clamp version, and it's great. Two disappointments. The bottom half of the front doesn't fold down. Henry - my 13.5 pound Yorkie - had a very jaunty way of lying with his head on his hands watching the world go by in the strollers in which this piece folded all the way down. Now he has to look through the screened part or sit up. The other problem is that because that won't fold all the way down, when I collapse this stroller, it's about three inches longer than the zippered version. That makes it about two inches too long to fit lengthwise in the back of my RAV 4. I could put the other st roller in so that the handle was right there when I opened the back. With Henry in one arm, I could use my other hand to pull out the stroller, give it a jerk and have it lock into place. Now I have to put Henry down and use two hands to twist the stroller around and set it up. It also takes up more space in the back end because I have to put it in sideways to the door.
